Owen McNally Writes...
“Although my long-running jazz column has been canceled by The Courant as part of the paper’s changes in its Thursday presentation, I’m at this moment beginning a new regional jazz column for WNPR on its website, www.wnpr.org.
The new column begins Wednesday, Dec. 4, and is called Jazz Corridor." It will run every week focusing on and presenting different perspectives on upcoming jazz and jazz-related events occurring in WNPR’s wide-ranging listenership region, which covers all of Connecticut and reaches into sections of Massachusetts and New York.
Every Wednesday, a new column will be posted on WNPR’s website. Jazz Corridor will focus on performances and news and views of special interest to WNPR listeners and readers throughout the region. I’m absolutely delighted to be able to continue writing a weekly jazz column for WNPR as part of its diversified digital content. Besides this exciting new venture, I’ve been told by The Courant, which I’ve been quite happily associated with as an editor and writer for many years, that I can continue to contribute feature stories on jazz and other topics to the paper’s Sunday arts and life-style sections.
Please share this news with your jazz audience. I hope they will check out Jazz Corridor on WNPR’s website. Information on upcoming jazz events can be sent to me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.”
